Sabrin Taj and husband own a scrap shop in Yaram Nagar at Banashankari, Bangalore. Life wasn’t bed of roses for her as she and her husband had five more mouths to feed. Two daughters and one son who go to school and a baby boy who needed her constantly. Scrap surely gave them food, but a comfortable life with that was totally out of question.

Help comes in various forms. For Sabrin it came as a word of mouth from her neighbour, who informed her about Grameen Koota and its various loan products. Without delaying much Sabrin Taj and her husband Fayaz Pasha contacted the loan officers of Grameen Koota. They helped the couple in getting their first loan of Rs 10000.

Sabrin and her husband used this loan to start a shop that sells stainless steel utensils and plastic household items. The business that was started with so much hope started thriving slowly. More help from Grameen Koota came in form of five more loans. They availed a second loan of Rs 15000. And what followed were a third loan of Rs 20000 and three more loans of Rs 25000.

Today life has taken a comfortable turn says Sabrin Taj. All thanks to Grameen Koota. Her shop has been doing good business and they have five employees who help her with the selling.  “Grameen Koota has made my life more meaningful. Today I am fulfilling my wish. My family supports me in this work. I am happy,” beams Sabrin Taj.
